Submit

We’ll be closed for submissions until late 2027, and won’t be in the office. But if you write to us your letters will certainly be kept safe and find their way to us eventually. It would, as always, be great to hear from you.

Before submitting please carefully read the submission guidelines.

Guidelines

At The Letters Page, we publish stories, essays, poems, memoir, reportage, criticism, recipes, travelogue, and any hybrid forms. We are looking for writers of all nationalities and ages, both established and emerging. We only ask that your submission come in the form of a letter. Typically, we prefer the human touch of a handwritten letter, but we are understand that for some this is not practical and are equally happy to receive typed submissions.

Your letter must be sent in the post to:

The Letters Page, School of English, University of Nottingham, NG7 2RD, UK

Remember to include your contact details (email and postal address) along with your submission.

* Any submissions that are not in letter form will be automatically rejected *

All published contributors will receive a year-long subscription to a literary/creative writing journal.

We don’t have a strict word limit, but our attention span is often short – we rarely publish letters above 750 words.

Please allow time for us to read and respond to your submissions. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible, typically within 2 to 4 months.

We can’t wait to hear from you!
